Do you ever have issues dealing with stress or being overwhelmed?  So do I.  In fact, I think I feel like that 80% of the time.  We are all in a constant struggle to find balance between all the different aspects of our life.  But last night, I learned a pretty good trick!  I noticed that I feel stressed and over-whelmed when I am thinking about everything at once.  It’s absolutely necessary that we slow down….gather our thoughts…..and be present only in the moment we are currently in.  Those around you will appreciate it and you will too!  Be Present….

Love this reminder! I’d also add that “being present in the moment” can even mean putting down the smartphone and stop checking emails/tweets/etc. when with your loved ones. Stop managing your life and live it!

Carolyn..absolutely! Anytime I am with someone in person, I keep the phone away. That means it doesn’t come out of the pocket, it doesn’t sit on the table…basically it is never visible and thus doesn’t cross my mind.
